From Sea to Stage:
life as a tall ship sailor in the United States
There is no doubt about the influence time at sea has had on Zoe Pančič's career. Through photography, art, and music, here is a look into the world of tall ship sailing and Zoe's determination to reveal and combine it in her musical projects today.

"For each person who was moved by my career in this trade, there were plenty of people thought I couldn't do it: 'You might not be strong enough.' 'I'm not trying to be rude, you're just built different from men.' 'You're wasting time.' 'I didn't think you were going to make it this far.'
I was commented on from my appearance to my way of talking. Nothing was without scrutiny. But the joy of sailing, the love for my crew, and the mutual enthusiasm being out on the sea where societal rules crumbled -- that was what changed me. That was what I came to pursue. What we all came to find in ourselves.
This journey was an instrumental step in who I am as a leader and musician today. My goal in roles of leadership is to cultivate the space where we remove that emotional barrier that takes away from our learning in order to let all people follow their dreams fully and with support."

"The decision to be a sailor in 2020 was pure authenticity in a time of global darkness. It helped me find who I was again. I aim to share what I learned through that experience with all I connect with."
